WF Pro glossary term search problem

Hi WF users,

has anyone encountered a problem similar to mine? If yes, please let me know how to solve this issue. Thanks!

I work in WF Pro 3.1.0 and I open the txml I am supposed to work with. I check the remote TM and try to select the glossary that I need for terminology with this project. I succesfully do that and then the problem starts. When I try to search for a term the only hits I get are from the TM not the glossary as well. If I open the notepad format of that glossary I find that specific term exists in it. So my question is can't the TM and glossary work together and let me search simultaneously in both of them or do I do something wrong that doesn't allow the glossary to work properly?

The TM and Glossary are based on different source files.

To use a glossary you need to create/import one and then make it visible in the txml editor as a separate file in order to search in it.

(you don't specify how you "try to select the glossary" and "successfully did that" and how you "try to search for the term"...)

But: if you have activated the dictionary and are translating a txml, all terms that are in the glossary will be highlighted in the sourc... See more

But: if you have activated the dictionary and are translating a txml, all terms that are in the glossary will be highlighted in the source segments and can be entered with a short cut.

And if you update to the latest version (which is AWESOME) you will see a pop up that lets you quickly enter a glossary term. ▲ Collapse

Hi Lianne,

thanks a lot for the description and my apologies for the late reply. YOur info was very useful. It seems that my txt file for the glossary import was corrupted hence the searching issue.
