Discussion

Gerry Vickers Apr 4, 2011:
Maria http://publications.europa.eu/code/en/en-370303.htm#position "In English texts, the ISO code ‘EUR’ is followed by a fixed space and the amount. In all other official EU languages the order is reversed; the amount is followed by a fixed space and the ISO code ‘EUR’ (or the euro sign in graphics)" Takže v češtině/slovenčině je 1000 CZK správně, nikoli v angličtině. http://publications.europa.eu/code/sk/sk-370303.htm

Peer comment(s):

agree Anton Šaliga : Exactly, the currency follows the value, neither a decimal mark(.) nor a thousands separator(,) is needed.

Thank you, Dylan!
disagree Anton Šaliga : This requires the decimal mark /CZK 1,000.00 / to ensure expliciteness without any possibilities to falsify the value.

Comma separator is used after every third digit from right to left. I don't see any reason for writing the decimal mark if there are not any decimals... In English the currency should appear before the numeric value.
