Laura Tavolacci recently finished her PhD in South Asian history in California. She studies missionaries, agriculture, and botany in colonial Bengal. She has advanced reading skills in Bengali, which she used to perform historical research, and intermediate speaking and listening skills. Currently, she is a visiting researcher in Santiago, Chile, where she has achieved an advanced level in Spanish. She is excited to use these language skills to explore the world of translation.
