I did an internship this past summer in France and learned to Subtitle on using ST 500. I'd like to obtain a version now for my own work, whether it be a free download or for purchase, but I can't find information ANYWHERE on the net. Does anyone know how we go about finding it, who the distributor is, etc.? Thanks.

Hey there I don't know anything about ST 500. However, I do know of others subtitling software, like Swift, Sofni and Win2020. If you're looking for a free-of-charge soft, try Subtitle Workshop. Hope I've been helpful. Good luck Patricia

Hey Patricia,
Thanks so much for your response. The reason I'm looking for ST 500 and particularly like it is because it has an equalizer bar feature, meaning you can place your cursor on the exact millisecond that the person begins to speak, basing it on the sound jumping up in the bar. In Subtitle Workshop, I've just noticed that you have a millisecond bar, but since that goes so fast, it's SO hard to start your subtitle on the EXACT millisecond the person begins to speak, and as a result, my subtitle always begins a bit late. Do you know how to deal with that? Thanks so much for your help. Cindy ▲ Collapse
